It's a constant frustration on my end too. But I guess at the end of the day, no matter how much we can encourage someone, the change has to come from him.
Keeping in mind these profiles will be a good reminder. And I so agree with you on it being half the job done. Because when you start acknowledging it, you'll feel so strongly about it that one day, you may just break yourself through it.
It doesn't happen overnight. But it's definitely a good start!

Hey Lola, I’m glad it resonate with you! I love "Click! The cocoon was locked. Tightly", it made me laugh as I recognise your futile attempts to help. It happens to me all the time! :)
I read your profiles and saw myself "the perfectionist" there. We probably all have some degree of at least one of them in us but we can still keep the good parts and overcome the not so good. If you recognise yourself it means you have a level of awareness which is half the job done.
In love, light and abundance x x x

Hi Ellesse

I love “Click! The cocoon was locked. Tightly”, it made me laugh as I recognise your futile attempts to help. It happens to me all the time! <img

It's ok to belong to any of these characteristics. I was once a perfectionist myself. Everything that I contemplate doing were not without research. But as long as we start channeling that fearful energy into constructive plans and goals, we can still break through that cocoon.
All of you did. In a way or another!

Hey guys and gals, glad you all find this useful!

It’s ok to belong to any of these characteristics. Thanks for sharing these real-life characterizations of why we sometimes are fearful to leave our comfort zones.

Ellesse, there is no qustion that I’m “Once Bitten Twice Shy Tortoise.” In the past, even though I had courage to start, I never finished because of feeling guilty for trying if a couple of things did not work out according to plan. I think it's human nature at some level to get out of a comfort zone, and sometimes we got to be mindful of when we become guilty of this.
I think this is the main cause of "analysis paralysis" (which I'm guilty of too often).

Hi Ellesse – these are great and fitting characteristics. I have meet many of those "cocoonee" before. It usually takes a wake up call to get out and stay out of the comfort zone. If you are rip your rooten. If you are green you are growing.
