@Esiburu As long as you don't ever give up, you will be able to realise all the goals you've set for yourself. Life is a marathon. The sad fact is, too many people tried to run it like a sprint and end up getting burnt out, disappointed in an instance. Keep applying and improve your resume as you go along, you will have an opportunity! I'm glad this site has helped raised your spirits! All the best!

I am an Accounting graduate and i have been seeking for a job for about a year now and there are times i feel like giving up because i have written several aptitude test and attended several interviews and still no job. After going through the Bible i learn't about Gods love and purpose for us and some months later i stumbled upon your site, both the Bible and the above tale of Hellen Keller has reassured me that with persistence and faith we can achieve anything. Although at the moment am still unemployed, i am very certain that soon i'll have something to smile about when i think of my career life because i wont quit trying. I must keep applying and keep hoping for something great. Thanks for gathering the greatest quotes and biographies the World has ever known.

Tammy, I must say you're a fighter! And I strongly believe so long as you've got the faith (which you already have!), you can achieve anything and do everything you want. If you've seen the Secret, I'm sure you've heard of the Miracle Man's story? He was in a plane crash, landed in a hospital where doctors said he'll be a vegetable for life. Even though he's physically immobile, his mind was thinking. His mind was working. He told himself, he will walk out of the hospital in 3 months. And guess what, he did! And lived to share his story.

Let me share with you another family in Singapore that was in the news. The 2 children in the family suffered from a genetic disorder that caused them to be bedridden. They cannot go to school and had serious wild fits every other ten minutes. Because of that, their mother have to quit her job and take care of her kids so money was tight too. But she had strong faith that their circumstances would change and one day, through their religious groups, they managed to get sponsorship for the kids to undergo a special surgery in Taiwan to insert some microchip into their heads to control the fits. Now, their conditions is very much improved and think the 2 kids may be going back to school.

What similarities does the 2 stories have? Both have strong faith, which you already have! For a start, you may not know how to get there or do it. But the Universe will show you the way. You already have the potential to change your life!

A good book that I'll recommend you to read is The Power of Subconscious by Dr Joseph Murphy. Drop me a email and I will send you a link to get a free copy.

Stay positive!

Tammy, I wish I've grown up listening to her story, for I could've learned from her spirit much earlier! It's the first time I've read this but it's definitely going to stay with me forever. In my opinion, being tough is relative. Some people think trying once or twice is difficult but people like Colonel Sanders tried 1009 times before his first successful attempt and never really thought much about it. Persistence and determination can be honed and the crux lies in how much and eager you want to achieve what you want to do. That's evident in Helen's endeavours as well. Though the context is different, the spirit is the same. Hope to see you around again and may you find that one thing that allows you to showcase your toughness, which I'm sure you definitely possess :)
